Bollywood singer and actor Himesh Reshammiya and his wife for the last 22 years Komal are now legally divorced. They had announced their separation in December last year and Bombay High Court granted them divorce on Wednesday. Himesh and Komal have a son named Swayam.
Himesh quoted to the media, “Sometimes in life mutual respect becomes most important and giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and I, have amicably decided to part ways legally as husband and wife. There is no problem whatsoever with this decision amongst us and our family as every member of the family have respected our decision. Komal is and will always remain a part of my family and I will always be a part of her family."

An extra martial affair of Himesh, with the TV actress Sonia Kapoor was rumoured to be the reason behind their separation. However, Komal made it very clear to the media that Sonia is not in any way responsible for their legal separation.
Himesh is known for his work in the Hindi film industry. Back in the 2000s he enjoyed his glorious years as a music composer whose hit songs like Aapka Suroor, Aashiq Banaya Apne, and several others topped the charts of the most listened songs in India. Just recently he also released his music album Every Night And Day with Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur. He has also been judge in many TV reality shows, well known especially for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
