The much awaited Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is garnering praises from all corners of India. Be it B-celebs or critics, everybody is going gaga over the trailer of the film. On Sunday the film’s trailer was released and it has already received almost 6 million views on YouTube.
'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is a movie about open defecation in villages and the need of proper sanitation system in the country. Keshav (Akshay Kumar) is all desperate to get married and when he does get married to Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), she leaves her in-laws house because there is no toilet system there and, she has no option but to defecate in the open in the morning darkness with other women of the village. The movie is an obvious satire on the need of proper sanitation system in our villages.
Keshav never sees any importance of toilets in the house until his marriage and with his dailgoue-“Agar biwi paas chahiye to ghar me sandash chahiye” he begins his fight with the society, government and even his home.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film takes a jibe at the corrupt government, superstitions of villagers and its failure to ensure proper toilets in Indian villages.
It is scheduled to release on August 11 this year and also stars Anupam Kher, Sana Khan and Divyendu Sharma aka Liquid from 'Pyaar Ka Punchama'.
Bollywood filmmakers and celebrities took to Twitter and praised the film. Let us look how they reacted to the trailer of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'-
